Looking to plan a trip to Rehoboth Beach next weekend? Well we’d say that it’s a perfect time to experience some of the greatest aspects of our Delaware town and to be a part of a first-time experience with us locals! Next week Thursday, August 22, 2013 marks the first annual Taste of Rehoboth, which has been in the works for quite some time now and has really gotten some buzz throughout this beach destination spot.
Anyone who’s ever been to the Rehoboth Beach area will tell you that we’ve got a great selection of delicious dishes to choose from here. In fact, this area has been gaining quite the reputation as one of the finest culinary destinations on the East Coast! That being said, the Rehoboth Inspired Chef Initiative and Dogfish Head Brewery came together and decided that this area needed a place where they could showcase and sample some of the best cuisine that can be discovered here.
Scheduled to take place from 5p.m. to 8p.m. next Thursday at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, (229 Rehoboth Ave.) the event will be open to all ages. Guests will be treated to live cooking and food samples from some of the best restaurants in Rehoboth, Dogfish Head beer and wine pairings, as well as live music and a live silent auction.
Tickets for the Taste of Rehoboth can be purchased in advance for $40 from a number of local businesses, including a(MUSE.), Eden, Espuma, Hobos, Rehoboth Beach Main Street and Azura, or for $50 at the door. All of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Food Bank of Delaware.
With the end of summer just around the corner, we know you’ve been hoping for a reason to get out of the house and make the most of what’s left of the good weather. Give yourself the luxury of a four-day-weekend and head out to Rehoboth Beach next week for some good eats and great times! We’d love to see you!
