If you like to kayak and stand up paddle, you will love this new website and map that was just unveiled this past summer. It highlights the beautiful range of paddling opportunities in southern Delaware. Plus, the Delaware Coastal Paddling Map is here!
The website provides a plethora of information on each paddle trail. Local information including fees, parking, weather, tides, trail towns, paddlers notes and eBird checklists. Handy aerial maps along with notes are helpful for paddlers as well. There’s also a list of outfitters if you need to replace something or buy new gear. Plus, a list of State parks, attractions, marinas and restaurants are also listed.
There is also a safety page with good reminders before you get out on the water. Paddlers are required to have a personal floatation device (PFD) and a whistle with them when exploring the waters of coastal Delaware. Always check and keep abreast of wind, tides, and temperature before paddling as well.
